Mario Bionda Italian (1913-1985) Bionda was known for his evolution from figurative art to abstract and material experimentation. Born in Turin, Bionda studied under Felice Casorati from 1927 to 1932. At just 17, he exhibited at the 1930 Venice Biennale, marking an early milestone in his artistic career. In 1939, he moved to Milan, but his artistic pursuits were interrupted by World War II. After the war, he established a toy factory, which he later passed on to his sons in 1954 to return to painting full-time.
